para sa akin ang dapat nanalo ang dilag ng Dilasag. Hindi ako taga Dilasag. Pero siya ang bet ko kahit na late ako sa program ng competition. Thru impression. She is the real icon of beauty of Aurora. Kasi she is ‘Kayumanggi Kaligatan’. Natural ang kutis ng ganda. Kahit walang make-up. Tunay na larawan ng probinsya. Mula sa Aurora the land of dawn..

you can never tell how numbers work!!! i remember when my friend Jennifer Leander, a former Ms. Maria won the title Ms. Aurora sometime in the late ’90s. a lot of people were surprised because they didn’t expect she would be crowned Ms. Aurora coz she didn’t get any special award except for Ms. Photogenic. the reason… she consistently rank second in all the categories and the first place vary in each category. in the end, the numbers worked and she got the highest rating making her on top of all the other candidates. so don’t get surprised if your bet didn’t come out a winner.

congratulations to all the winners! enough of the sourgraping. we can have as many opinions as we want BUT in the end, it is still the judges’ decision that will hold water. besides, no one can claim to have a franchise of the titles in this beauty contest.
if you do not agree with their choice/s, too bad for you. why not join your town’s beauty contest and make sure that you win there first then you try your luck in the provincial beauty pageant?
let bb. aurora be a celebration of beauty that is distinctly from aurora. anyway, can somebody post here all the titleholders since this pageant was first held? was it in 1987? so that we will know which municipality holds the most number of titles. that would be nice to know, right?

hello agree ako sa iba na mahirap humarap sa maraming tao lalo buty contest, tina deserves the crown kc one of the judge is our very own mis international melanie marquez, imposible naman n magkamali siya ng dcsion noh, f hnd nu matanggap na talo bet nyo kau ang sumali nxt time nang maramdaman nu rin kung panu malait ng iba. bsta congrats to miss maria, im not from maria aurora bt please dnt be so matray sa pagsasalita bwt her. Para sa mga taga-Baler na hindi marunong tumanggap ng pagkatalo: Lam nyo kasi beauty pageant yan marami sa mga judges ay hindi taga-Aurora para fair ang labanan. Ewan ko ba sa inyo pag taga-Maria ang nananalo masama ang loob nyo (di ko nilalahat ha). Just accept na lang whatever the verdict is and sport lang.

I happened to scan all the pictures of bb. aurora and miss maria really stands out among the others. Oh well, some would comment about her “not-deserving-win” because of “brain and height issues” but i cannot comment on that because I wasn’t in the actual scene. But all in all Miss Maria is really pretty.. I should know I’m a morena beauty too.. haha..
I admire her because just by joining the pageant she already served as an inspiration to all especially to the morena beauties who are not so comfortable with their “being morena”. Whosoever said that joining a pageant and facing the crowd with their “boos and hmmps” and the judges with there “degrading critics” is easy, is totally a freak. So instead of sour-graping because our bet didn’t win the Bb. Aurora title, let us just support her and be proud because she also is an Auroran beauty herself. And look at that wonderful smile, she looked very charming on that picture. No more I could say.. I salute you miss! Way to go girl! ^_^

well..ganun talaga..kung kami rin naman ang natalo sasabihin rin namin na mas dapat na nanalo ung amin..kaso may mga judge po tau..may mga rules and criteria na pinagbasehan po ang mga judge kaya wag nang kung anu-ano pa sinasabi ng mga HALATANG TAGA-BALER jan..at saka kung BATANGBALER.NET din lang naman pala ito di sana puro pang BALER na lang ang mga nakapost dito..d naman pala ito pang AURORA eh..mga makasarili, kainin nyo website nyo..pwe..as if d namin kayang GUMAWA ng pang buong AURORA na website..GAGAWA kami and well siguro isasama na rin namin kayo kasi AURORA (alam nyo n sana kung anong gusto kong sabihin)

Uy. Walang pikunan ditu. Taga Baler ako at 95% ng mga angkan ko taga Baler. I voted Miss Maria Aurora last February 2008. Kung minsan talaga makaka-basa ka ng wala sa lugar na mga comments dito pero that’s okay. Kantiyaw laang yun at kahit saan nangyayari yan.
